They (whoever "they" are) say that deaths come in 3's in people's lives. Well, maybe that's true. About a year after Matt and I were married, we lost a guy we went to high school with, a friend's young daughter, and Matt's grandpa all in short succession. It looks like we just had another set of three deaths. First, my grandma passed in November. A couple of weeks ago, a 2-day-old sister of three of my young women died, and tonight, President Hinckley passed away. I'm grateful for my testimony of the Plan of Salvation. As Matt says, "Good for them!" I know that's true. I know Heavenly Father needs these righteous souls on the other side of the veil. I'm sure President Hinckley is up there with his sweet wife getting busy on all the missionary work that needs to be done. We, of course, know that was a strength of his. I would bet big money that Gram is right by his side helping out, too.
You know, we hear about deaths happening in 3's; I'm sure that means that "births" of sorts happen in 3's, too, right? I mean, Penelope and Kristi's daughter, Lydia, were born in the last few months. Also, Matt and I have a birth of a new phase in our lives with a new house and such.
I can't help but think that "births" come in much greater numbers than 3's. It's just looking for them and recognizing them when we see them.
