I love this time of year

I don't know what it is specifically about December, but I just love it. I love the excitement and the creativity that goes into the PERFECT gift for someone. There's so much anticipation that builds as the 25th draws near.
When the day finally does come, it passes so quickly and feels anticlimactic. That perfect gift may make a huge spash, but, in the end, it's not the thing that people remember; it's the feelings of being together, the joy in knowing that someone loves you and wanted to find a great gift for you. That's really the best part of this season--being together with loved ones and telling them in words or actions how much you love them.
Of course, that is all symbolic of the Savior's love. Being an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we talk about the Savior often and his love and example. At this time of year, however, it makes more sense and becomes more real. I'm grateful for that.
Merry Christmas!
