That is a strange phrase, isn't it? What in the world is a band wagon?
Anyway, so, here I am, trying my hand at this blog thing. I don't know if anyone will really read this, but I have enjoyed reading the blogs of some of my friends and family. So, what the heck? Maybe I won't feel so badly about being a horrible letter writer and emailer if this is available. Then, the readers can take some accountability for not knowing what's going on in my life. Yeah, I like that idea.
As mentioned in the "about me" section on this blog, I have 5 wonderful nieces. They're pretty cute and terribly funny! I'm sure I'll mention them quite a bit on this thing. Well, here's the first installment. Today, Mom and I were at lunch, and she told me a story that made me laugh right out loud!
Elizabeth, our 6 year old niece, is very creative and artistic (talents I don't have!). In fact, Elizabeth has already established her own unique signature for her artwork--Xl. That's right, Xl, pronounced "zill". She cracks me up.
One thing Ellie and I do share is a love of lists. Mom told me today that a list for getting ready for bed was implemented in Elizabeth's house. Instead of using check marks on her list, Elle insisted on using E's. Makes sense, right? Take ownership of the list, and you're more likely to stick to it. Funny girl!
Now, that wasn't so painful, was it? I think I'm gonna dig this blog thing...
