When I saw Kristi's tag on her blog, I was trying to think of 7 random things about me. Here's what I came up with:
1. 99.9% of the time, I sleep to Matt's left. We've tried swapping, but that has only worked once. The other times, Matt has rolled over to where I'm sleeping and left me approximately 5 inches to sleep on. Not a recipe for restful sleep.
2. Growing up, I had a favorite doll named Sarah. She was blond, and her hair stuck STRAIGHT up, hair only a "mother" could love. Her eventual death came when her head kept popping off and wouldn't go back on. Sad day!
3. Certain menial tasks (laundry, transcribing, shaving, etc.) almost always remind me of certain random people with no real connection to the task.
4. I never learned the capitals of the states in school or which states go where in the middle of the country.
5. I love pretty much anything lemon flavored.
6. I'm an organizing freak. If I had my way, everything in my life would be in a neat, organized manner. However, I share my life with others, and not everyone appreciates my ways. This organizing way does not mean that my house and stuff is never a mess, but my tolerance is pretty low for my things being out of place. You know, it's funny, though, because it doesn't bother me at all in places that are outside my "domain"--other people's desks at work, the houses of others, stores, etc.)
7. I love old architecture (buildings and homes). I love the details and what makes them a specific period or style. I find myself more often than not thinking about who used those spaces and what their day-to-day life was like. It's fascinating.
