I gave notice on my transcribing job on Wednesday night. It was just too much. It's hard to come home from working and trying to retain everything I'm being trained on, then facing an unpredictable amount of files that will take me an unpredictable amount of time. Oh, and add that I don't get home until 5:15, which means, after eating something, I get started on 2-5 hours of typing around 6:00 or so. Notice anything missing? Yeah, Matt and Jen time. Plus, when I did ignore the files and leave them for the morning, I would have to get up REALLY early to get them done, leaving extra time for the unforeseen. On top of that, I am always leery about adding anything to my schedule. For example, I have a dentist appointment that I had to schedule, and I was trying to figure out what day would be easiest in case I get a huge load of files and have to stay up all night to finish them. And where does Visiting Teaching go? Yeah, it's just not gonna work.
I'm not broken up about it, and neither was Matt, which is nice.
My first week at the other job has been good. I think the job will be fairly easy to pick up, mostly because they have FANTASTIC manuals. I wish every job I've had came with those. Anyway, I think it will be good. I feel great about it!

Do not over-extend yourself, Jenny. It sounds like this job will be a good one for you and that is always nice. Then you can have your "down" time, really BE your down time. Loves
