My new job

Today, I got a great compliment from my boss. I don't know that she intended for it to be a compliment, but it certainly was for me. She and I were discussing something that had happened recently, like within the last month or so. She said that she couldn't remember if it was before I came or not. Then, she said that it feels like I've been there forever. I thought that was really nice, and I agreed. I feel like I've melded well into this job and have learned quickly. Of course, there are still things I'm learning and times I have to look in the manual, but there are a lot of similarities between this job and my other jobs in social services-- requirements for paperwork and the mindset employees adopt (no pun intended). It's been a natural fit and one that really melds many of my skills into one interesting job. I'm so grateful for that, and I'm grateful to have a job that is interesting and inspiring.
