With my older brother and his family in town, we've been having sleepovers with each of the nieces. The 2 1/2 year old is only going to do a day out somewhere. I think she might be a little young to appreciate a sleepover.
Rebekah was first. Her choice of activities was to go to McDonald's and shopping. Easy enough. After trying on multiple outfits, Bekah settled on getting accessories instead. She picked out some jewelry and a purse and wallet. The earrings she picked out were so pretty! After we got home, we watched Aladdin and popped popcorn.
The next to come over was Elizabeth. She decided she wanted to go to Chinese for dinner, paint ceramics at a paint-your-own potter place, and shop. The painting was pretty fun. I'm not terribly artistic, but Elizabeth is, and she did a great job! While shopping, she picked out a Barbie and some outfits for her, along with some make up. She played with her doll (which deposited glitter all over the place) and her make up while we watched Prince of Egypt.
Hannah came over Saturday night. Her choice was McDonald's for dinner and shopping. She is quite the fashionista. She picked out several items of clothing to try on. She ended up picking things that cost almost double what her budget was. She wanted some money left over for accessories. So, we helped her know how many things she could pick and still have money left over. She ended up with two shirts, some jewelry, hair things, and a purse. We came home and got ready for bed before settling down to watch part of the Incredibles.
It's been so fun to have time with each of these girls individually. They have such distinct personalities! I've especially enjoyed seeing Matt interact with them. He's getting more and more comfortable around them each time he's around them. They're such sweet girls! I'm so grateful that I get to be their aunt!!

They are so lucky to have such a great aunt! I'm sure they will always remember their time with you and feel safe coming to you when they need something.
Now, about this sleepover thing...I want to get together with you and go shopping and out to eat...can you come visit? It's been too long...
