I have been reminded that I (unintentionally) forgot to mention another grandma that I have. My dad's mom passed away before I was even a glimmer in his eye. I, of course, never got to know her. From the stories I've heard, she sounds like a fantastic, funny lady. I'm sure I'll enjoy getting to know her when I've passed from this earth.
There is one thing that I know about her that had an impact on my life. When she would go to church, she used to look for someone sitting by themselves and go sit with them. For me, that says so much about her personality and compassion for others. I can't even say how many times I have thought about her doing that and tried to follow her example. It's been a blessing as I've worked to follow that legacy. I look forward to getting to know her better someday.
