Matt and I moved everything out of the other house tonight. All we had left in there was living room furniture, dining room furniture, and some decorations. There were also a few things in the garage. For the record, our couch is EXTREMELY heavy!! We expect the sale to close on Wednesday. Of course, we're withholding our excitement until the money is in our account. We don't anticipate any issues, though.
So, the other house is bare, and this house looks like a furniture store. We had room for the dining room table and chairs, but the living room furniture is just stuffed wherever we could find a place. Because the downstairs still isn't done, all the family room stuff needs to stay up here until that's finished. I'm going to see what I can figure out as far as arranging it tomorrow.
As we locked up the other house when it was completely empty, Matt and I spent just a few minutes in there. For me, it was emotional. That was our first house together. It held the place we courted and got engaged. It's sad to leave. Of course, I'm excited for our new place and all the potential it holds, but I'll miss that cute little house that used to be our home.
