Do you ever step back?

I was driving home after the reception tonight and listening to the local classical music radio station. It's such calming music. Anyway, I had my window down because it is a beautiful evening. Several of the cars near me had the same idea, and when I pulled up to a stop light, I looked around to discover the car next to me with their windows down, too. I don't think I would have noticed as quickly if I didn't realize that the song that had just been playing was over, and there was applause coming from the radio. I was thinking about how funny that would be to be in the car next to me and hear only applause from our neighboring car. I would have to wonder if that driver took applause with them everywhere. I guess that would be a perfect form of self-affirmation.
