A new direction

I've been looking for a second part-time job to supplement my transcription work. About a week ago, I found one that I was really excited about on Craigslist and applied for it. The day the job posting closed, I got a call from the woman. We set up an interview for Monday, and I got offered the job today!! I'm so excited about it!!
I will be a branch assistant for the Oregon branch of Holt International, an adoption agency that handles many international adoptions each year. I start on May 12th. My main responsibilities will be the domestic adoptions and various other tasks. During my interview, we were discussing these tasks, and I kept thinking, "I've done that. Oh, done that, too. Yep, I've done that." Of course, there are a lot of things I need to learn about adoption policies and procedures, but I'm so grateful for the other experiences I've had that helped me be such a good fit for this position.
I've been interested in getting involved with and learning more about adoption for several years, since right around the time I graduated from college. It feels full circle. I'm thrilled!!!
