Matt and I have this uncanny ability to go into a store, see what we like, and buy it on the spot. For example, last night, we went to Sears to buy a new dishwasher and microwave. The ones we inherited when we bought the place are in need of replacing. So, Sunday night, we spent about 15 minutes looking at microwaves and dishwashers online and quickly agreed on what color and features we liked, though not a specific model. Last night, we went to Sears. About 15 minutes later, we had picked out and paid for both items. That's completely typical of how we shop. We either have similar tastes so both of us like the same thing right away, or one of us doesn't really care, while the other has a particular opinion. Either way, we are usually in and out. We did the same thing buying dining room, living room, and bedroom furniture. We went into a store, found what we liked, browsed the rest of the store and a few others to make sure that's what we wanted and went back to purchase the original finds. It's been a huge blessing in our marriage. Big decisions like furniture, appliances, and wedding plans have been quite easy.
We have been spoiled, though, with this. We hit a snag recently--kitchen tile in the old house. When we were remodeling, we had differing opinions about what tile to use. Other decisions, like hardware for cabinets, flooring, etc. were all easily decided. Tile was our sticking point. We had a few of conversations over a couple of weeks. Looking back, it didn't really go on for an excessive length of time, but for us, it was long. Finally, we came to a solution that was okay.
After that, I'm even more grateful that Matt and I generally see decisions like that eye-to-eye. It's such a blessing. Of course, that's not saying that we never disagree. We do, but, in general, we share opinions and tastes, which has been so nice.

Nice!! Neither Mike nor I can even figure out what WE want most of the time, which makes it even more difficult to come to a conclusion than if we knew, could disagree, and figure it out. :)
