Our influence
Recently, I was talking to my older brother. He mentioned that he feels one of the YW leaders that was serving while we were youth had more of an influence on him than any of his YM leaders because she was always genuinely kind to him. That really struck me. I got a chance to see that woman today, and I told her what my brother said. She was really touched. You know, I have conversations with the YM on a regular basis, but I never thought about how my influence could shape them. I focus so much on the YW and how I interact with them. I've been thinking a lot recently about what my brother said. I think it's altered how I view my calling and the responsibilities that go with it. I'm in a position to have an impact on the lives of all the youth. What am I doing to encure that I'm uplifting them and letting them know they are loved?

Doesn't it ever feel a little overwhelming to you? Just extending our responsibility to influence to another organization... Although being kind is something I can handle. :)
The YW AND the YM are lucky to have you and Matt around. We love you lots.
