This picture was taken the day Penelope was born and the day after Grandma's funeral. Seeing her and holding her was a sweet balm in such a painful time.
She's not that docile or tiny now, is she? She is a doll, though and I'm glad her timing was so tender. I think mom got to meet her and send her to us.
