Uncle Matt, the good example

With all the pictures I downloaded from our camera, I found these. They were taken last summer the day Bekah was baptized. We were having a dinner for everyone that attended the baptism. Behind the church, there was a building that was basically a kitchen and HUGE cement floor. It was a great space! Besides having a lot of room, it also had garbage cans that sat on a disk with wheels under it. You know, so you could roll the garbage cans around. Well, Matt saw the disk as a perfect toy. He tried to stealthily sneak into the other room to try out his idea, but Hannah saw him. Being the absolute dare devil that she is, she wanted to try it out, too. So, Uncle Matt introduced all the girls to the joys of running and flinging yourself head first onto the disk and sliding across the floor. Some of the girls loved it more than others, but it was fun to watch. I'm so glad no one got hurt!

So, one night, a couple of years ago, we had a HUGE pile of plastic bags to take care of. We enlisted the help of Seth in stuffing the bags into another bag. It became a big game with bags flying in all directions. After a while, though, we finished the job, and all the bags were contained in one or two bags. I thought the game was over. I forgot that Earl is the funnest guy around, and that he would instantly come up with a new game. Bag balls! So we kicked and batted those around for awhile. If bedtime hadn't come, I think the games would have continued indefinitely! No wonder the kids love Earl more!
